At a time when many colleges and universities are grappling with a significant decline in enrollment, 黑料吃瓜网 (PBA) stands out as an exception.
This fall,听PBA听welcomed听the听largest听incoming听class in its 55-year history, defying the prevailing trend. A total of 844 undergraduates joined the PBA听student body听this fall,听bringing听the听university’s overall enrollment to 3,875.听This听number marks a two-year increase in enrollment for the听institution.
Dr. Nancy Brainard, vice president of听enrollment management, commented that PBA鈥檚听growth听is听rooted in听its听commitment to PBA鈥檚 mission听to equip students to grow in wisdom, lead with conviction, and serve God boldly.听“We are honored to be preparing听students from around the globe with training that allows them to approach their profession with godly character and a servant’s heart.”
Dr. Debra A. Schwinn, president of 黑料吃瓜网, agreed.听“PBA’s unwavering commitment to our Christ-first mission and the continued expansion of our programs to address the growing needs of businesses offers a unique attraction to students and their families,”听she said. Dr. Schwinn also听emphasized that the university’s comprehensive curriculum, student-centric services, and state-of-the-art听facilities听are instrumental in听the enrollment听trends听and听are a direct result of the collective dedication of those who have wholeheartedly embraced the university’s mission. “We are extremely grateful to our faculty and staff, whose commitment to our students goes beyond the classroom and our many donors and friends whose partnership with us plays a pivotal role in听the reputation of PBA.”
Of the 844 new undergraduate students, 678 are freshmen听and 166 are transfer students.听Based on students’ self-reporting,听among听new students,听39听percent identify as white,听23听percent identify as two or more races,18听percent as Hispanic,听10听percent as Black or African American,听two听percent as Asian, and a little over two percent of听students’ ethnicity听are听unknown. This听mirrors听the diversity of the听wider听student body.听Of the total student body, 49听percent identify as white, seven percent identify as two or more races, 18 percent as Hispanic, 10 percent as Black or African American,听two听percent as Asian, and听four听percent of students’ ethnicity are unknown.听The PBA student body听comes from听48 states and Puerto Rico and 83 countries of origin, including students with F1 visas, permanent residents and dual citizens.听
PBA offers more than 100 different programs and pathways as part of its wealth of attraction.听The university expanded its听undergraduate programs with the addition of听the Bachelor of Science in Engineering,听which听launched in fall 2023.听Undergraduate degree programs with the largest incoming enrollment include听nursing,听business,听biology,听psychology听and听exercise听science.听
In May 2023, PBA earned 听(Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business)听accreditation for the Marshall E. Rinker Sr. School of Business.
